He's fucking nuts...

It was simpler then

He's done it.

Wales in the winter

Admittedly these photographs
are several years old

But it's that time of year again

Feeling more awake

Today has been a weird one
I guess they are all a little weird
at the moment

Here is some more old stuff

Draw me

So, I wanted to do a post
But I've not really done a great
deal recently that would
be of any interest

So here is an old photograph
I took in Berlin in 2009
which I found buried in
the depths of my computer

Lets see what other
beauties might appear

I want you to show me

Just look at that little face!

Hate the blood, want the meat

I really do miss home

Not like anything
would be any better
if I was there

It feels a little bit like
everyone is falling apart
-some literally

This is where I wish I was
(Sorry for being so glum)

At every trough you stop to feed

I guess it's been a while
I'm pretty crap at this nowadays

Sorry the scans aren't better
I just can't be bothered
I think everything is
falling apart
just a little bit
and I miss home
I'll give you more soon
I promise

[angry rant deleted so not to offend]

So you may remember last month
I was all happy because I had
a new job
amongst lots of other things
Well, the other things are still
great, turns out the job

Call me irresponsible
but I'm leaving
I don't have anything
else to go to
But I just had to get out

Plenty of things to
get excited about

and boy am I excited
I'm going to take my new camera
and get lots of lovely pictures
and just escape from the world
just for the weekend

Hopes to make her mine

This is my favourite
like lightning from the ground

Small yet mighty

Bright colours
Cute animals

How can you go wrong?

I hope it brightens your day
as much as it does mine

Complete disgrace

Plymouth is a beautiful city
in the summer time
I'm happy to live here

I'm very happy at the moment
I've got a job
I've got a new flat
It's my birthday soon

All is well in the world

Count down from a hundred

Once upon a time
many years ago I went up
on the moors to Princetown
it was a foggy and miserable day
and we couldn't really see anything
But I did get some kick ass photographs

So last year

It's been a pretty hectic few months
I've finished my degree
I can't believe how fast three years
has gone
It's been quite an interesting social
experiment, deleting my facebook
Since I deactivated my account I've
only had one friend who has gotten
in touch with me.
I think that we've become so reliant on
how easy it is to keep in touch via
facebook that people don't bother
making the extra effort anymore
which is a serious shame
Anyway, I miss my friends
Here is a happy memory

Big changes are occurring

Tuesday, 28 June 2011

You have tainted yourself

It's been a long long time
I've finished my degree

Here are a few images of my degree show
You may realise I like feet

Personally I really like
what I did with the mirrors
forcing the audience to
(that was the idea anyway)

When one door closes another one may
well open, but it doesn't mean the
path that door leads to will
be any easier

Also, I've just deactivated
my facebook account and it felt good!
Really good actually, I'd highly recommend it

Brick House

I'm starting to think that this just isn't meant to be
every time I go to write a post at the moment something
happens which means I can't

This is all you're going to get for now

Although I do have some rather exciting photographs
for you next time I'm around
taken forever ago by my wonderful friend Grace

So, until next time...

Floating sparks in his eyes

On Saturday night we had a big
meal for all the family
My sister was in charge of the
pudding and she was making
stewed rubarb to go with
our crumble...

Somehow she managed to
caramalise the rubarb on
the bottom of the pan
My dad then put the pan
in the dishwasher in an attempt to
clean it, and this is what it came out like

I think it's quite impressive

She could fly

Well, I guess I should apologise for the
lapse in time since my last post...

I hope you weren't holding
your breath in anticipation,
because it's been over a week
and you'd be dead by now

I've returned to my parents house in
Staffordshire for a week, because
I really needed a change in scenery

On Sunday morning I sat with my legs dangling
out of the french windows in the parlour
and it was wonderful

The patio is now the final resting place
of my younger brother's six year old
mini batman skateboard...

It finally met it's end when my older
brother attempted to ride it

Mysterious as the dark side of the moon

I've decided it was
finally time to put up some
photographs I took last December

These are from the Sealed Knot
Freedom Fields march

The other day Joe was telling me about
this artist guy who takes phrases
and removes a constant and then creates
an image to fit with the new meaning of the phrase

I think this is one of my favourites
you can see more at his website:

It isn't usually my kind of
But I saw this video the other
morning and it made me happy

It makes me want to get
my shuffle on

Love isn't always on time

When I was walking home from University last
week I took this photograph of a broken window...
If this was a fairytale I'm pretty sure
a princess would live here

"No dancing in the street,
there is no music"

Don't listen to her, I think you should
dance if you want to little girl

Don't dance in the street

Yesterday I had a conversation with
Alex about his ongoing project
and writing notes...

"I'd like rocking chairs in my back garden
and the sea at my doorstep."

By Wednesday we had to send an artist
statement and one image of our work
to the guy who is making the catalogue for
the degree show...

This is the image I used
I like to keep things nice and vague

It's a Charmed Life

On the 26th March 2011
Diana Wynne Jones
Passed away

I only found out today and it's
made me quite sad
Neil Gaiman wrote a beautiful
journal entry dedicated to her

What's that coming over your head?

Just as I promised
from Jessica's shoot

It was an awesome day
and I'm sure as soon as Jess
has made some more costumes
we'll be doing another one

Over the water

On Thursday I went to the woods
on a photo shoot for my friend Jess

I was modelling one of her beautiful creations
(I'll give you a link to her blog once the pictures are up)

Whilst out in the woods I came across this sign
and it reminded me of my Dad...
He collects images of signs in nature

Lopwell Dam

Chocolate and Milk

Things have just been ticking over recently

Yesterday I finished the draft of the
second chapter of my dissertation

The weather is lovely

Saturday, 19 March 2011

This one goes out to Peter

If I'm ever having a bad day
I just listen to this and think of
my younger brother and it
always makes me smile

Thank you

Make it, mend it, wear it out

Make shift studio in the studio

I was photographing objects
for my current project
here is how one of them turned out

Royal William Yard

One Life. Live it.

The last few days have been so beautiful I was
starting to think spring was here
But today it isn't

The daffodils are dying
